Champions Decide in Advance!
Black Belt Champions know what they want and they decide in advance what actions they are going to take to get it. High achievers predict their future by creating it…everyday.
D.I.A.=>Decide in Advance. Simply meaning to look into your future and decide exactly what you want and what you are willing do to get it.
Achievers know that success isn’t a matter of luck, it is a matter of deciding what you want and then going for it. When you decide that you want a life filled with health, wealth and happiness, you take positive action steps and begin to attract all the things that lead you to your dreams.
"Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal." – Earl Nightingale
The more you think about what you want in your future, whether you’re looking at tomorrow, the next few weeks or the next few years, the greater chance you have of making your life better.
The more you focus on the Champion you want to be, the more likely you will become that Champion.
Black Belt Champions decide in advance that they are going to achieve greatness in the Martial Arts. Some seek higher levels of skills and ability in combative application, while others seek excellence in their performance skills. Either way, you must decide in advance what you want, and then commit to making it happen.

Health & Fitness Tip – "Enjoy the Process!"
You’ll always gain a lot more benefit from your health and fitness training regimen if you enjoy the process. The good news is that there are so many positive ways you can train and enjoy the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
Do what you love and love what you do.
I truly believe one of the key reasons that I and so many of our Black Belt Champions are able to stay in top shape year round, is that we absolutely love the process.
Black Belt Champions fitness focuses on three key areas. Flexibility, strength and endurance, which is a very balanced approach to health and fitness.
If you look at what you are currently doing, a good question to ask yourself is "What do I love the most about my training?"
Whatever your favorite area is, my encouragement is always to do more of what you love and less of what you don’t. There may be times we need to do something we don’t necessarily love to accomplish a goal. Then we go back to our favorite routines.
How about you. What are your favorites?
Back to School Success Tips
With "Back to School" time right around the corner, we thought we would share some key strategies for helping your child have their best academic year ever. Take advantage of these tips by printing them out and going over them with your child, then take action!
ESTABLISH A MORNING ROUTINE
Make sure that you are getting enough rest and starting EVERY morning with a healthy breakfast. Like a car, your body needs the proper fuel to perform at PEAK levels.
ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING
An open mind is a learning mind. Come to school each day ready to focus, work hard and have FUN!
GREAT HOMEWORK HABITS
Have a set time that you always do homework, such as right after school. Make sure you have a quiet place away from distractions to do it. Don’t rush, and remember to ALWAYS hand it in.
COMMUNICATION IS KEY
Teachers are smart, but they can’t read minds. Great relationships come from great communication. Ask questions and share concerns!
SHARE AT HOME
One of the best ways to learn is to teach. Try to teach your parents something you’ve learned in school each day. It will help you and maybe your parents will learn something new!
SUPPORT THE SCHOOL RULES
School rules may not always be the most fun, but they are there to make sure everyone is safe and gets the most out of their day.
SUPERSTAR STUDY HABITS
School is like your favorite sport. Proper practice and preparation promotes PEAK performance. To become a superstar, prepare like one.
GUARD YOUR INNER CIRCLE
Surround yourself with the right people. Who you surround yourself with….you become! Having friends that are positive and achievement-oriented like you will keep you on the fast track to success!
The Shoerack Theory
It has long been a custom in the Martial Arts, that upon entering the dojang, students remove their shoes and place them in the shoerack. Part of this custom is for hygiene and cleanliness. A clean and well kept school is certainly better than a dirty one.
Even better is a philosophy called the Shoerack Theory.
Students remove their shoes and place them in the shoerack for a more purposeful reason. They are also placing all of life’s challenges and any stressful thoughts or negative issues from their day, in their shoes before entering the mat.
This allows you to give yourself fully to your training…
Mentally, physically and emotionally… then after a great class, you will be able to better deal with any of the challenges placed in your shoes before class.
Sometimes, you actually may find they’ve disappeared all together. Meaning that after a great workout and practice session, you have relieved yourself of all the stress you had before your class and/or relieved yourself from any negativity.
Martial Arts training is proven to be an outstanding way to relieve stress and cleanse your mind, body and spirit of any negativity.
If you practice this philosophy every time you enter the school, you will find yourself in a better mood and you will also enjoy greater benefit from your Martial Arts training.
This philosophy can also be applied to walking into your own home.
Mentally, leaving all stress and challenges in your shoes upon entering so you can enjoy quality time with your family and loved ones.
One way you can maximize the benefits of your Martial Arts training is to practice and apply the philosophies you learn in class to your everyday life outside the dojang.
Champions Believe they will Achieve!
Belief is the having knowledge and confidence that you can achieve your desired goals or objectives. It’s that gut instinct inside that we really can and will accomplish what we set our sights on.
Belief gives power… it strengthens our will to win… it pours fuel on our fire and feeds our desire.
If you don’t believe in yourself, nobody will.
Imagine a Champion Fighter stepping in the ring or cage thinking he is going to get his butt kicked. Remember that your thoughts always precede your actions. It’s unlikely that a Champion that is filled with doubt will celebrate a victory.
Champions must believe. They have to believe in themselves and their ability to achieve in life.
"Whether you think you can or think you can’t – you are right!" – Henry Ford
To be a Martial Arts Champion, or simply to become a Champion in life, you must believe in yourself and your abilities.
It’s no different in business or other areas of life. If you want to win and succeed, you must believe in yourself. Big GOALS, Small GOALS and everything in between, you gotta believe!
Whether you are in sales, management or service, you must believe in yourself and believe in your product. If you do, you succeed, if you don’t you fail….it’s that simple.
"If your mind can conceive it…and you truly believe it…you will achieve it!" – Napoleon Hill
Champions are Ambitious!
Champions are driven toward achievement and are very ambitious in the way they live their lives.
They know what they want and they are willing to give their best effort to achieve their goals, in and out of the Martial Arts school.
Champions are always focused on a target goal and they take massive action on a daily basis to make positive and aggressive progress in the direction of their dreams.
Losers in life are exactly the opposite. They have no ambition and no idea what they want. They’re also quick to blame others for their problems in life. It’s almost as if they find pleasure in moaning, groaning and complaining.
Losers rarely do anything positive to improve themselves. They tend to be very lazy in their actions and negative in their thinking. Losers lack focus and follow through.
Champions are Ambitious…Losers are Lazy.
Black Belt Champions are winners in life. They know that any worthwhile goal is going to require effort, energy and persistent follow through. They’re always ready to give their best effort to overcome obstacles and setbacks.
