As we enter the final days of 2011 we hope you had a wonderful holiday season and got to spend some quality time with your family and loved ones.
But as we approach new year’s eve we wanted to ask you a simple question… How can you make 2012 your BEST YEAR EVER?
Think preparation and positioning. Why do most people give up on their new years resolution? Because they don’t really put much thought or time into planning them or getting themselves into a position to make them happen.
We would like to share with you a simple system for helping you to decide on your goals for the upcoming year in the hopes that you will see massive improvements in every area of your life.
The first step is to come up with a year end Kaizen report. Kaizen basically means constant and never ending improvement, and it’s a philosophy we try to apply to everything we do. You’re going to start by examining 5 key areas of your life for 2011. These areas are:
-Martial arts and Fitness
-Business and career
-Finances
-Relationships (Personal and Professional)
-Personal Development
Take about 30 minutes and think about each of these areas of your life during the past year. What were your victories? What did you do well? What were you grateful for? Focus on everything that went right… every moment you were proud of… for the entire 30 minutes.
Next, take another 30 minutes and begin your 2012 Wish List. If you had a magic wand in your hand and you could have anything you want in each of these 5 areas… what would it be? What improvements would you want to see? If you KNEW you couldn’t fail, what goals would you set?
Now, how are you going to get it done? Start by writing your 90 Day Action Plan – what are you going to do to hit the ground running to accomplish your goals? Remember that everything is about momentum… your first 90 days will set the pace for the rest of the year!
The last step is the most difficult… TAKE ACTION! That’s it. I know this sounds simple, but most things in life truly are. The difference between people who accomplish their goals and people who don’t is just a matter of effort. For most of us the biggest opposition to getting what we want is only ourselves.
We hope you will join us in making 2012 our BEST YEAR EVER!
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
