Kwajanim Khechen
Master Khechen began his training more than 35 years ago while living in Venezuela. Even at a young age, his tremendous work ethic and martial arts skill were well known. During this time, Master Khechen devoted his life to his training and won many tournaments, including the Venezuelan and South American Championship.
Master Khechen then moved to Buffalo, NY to pursue his education at the University at Buffalo, where he received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. It was during this time that Master Khechen began training at the Robert Summers School of Tae Kwon-Do in Buffalo. Always an imposing fighter, he had great success competing on the national circuit. In 1990, when Master Summers moved out of state, Master Khechen was given the opportunity to run his own school, and the Master Khechen School of Tae Kwon-Do was born.
Early in his career, Master Khechen devoted all his energy to training and competing, but it was while running his school that he developed a strong passion for teaching and training others. Always a student, he continued to learn new styles of martial arts, as well as principles of leadership and success, and began to incorporate these elements into his program.
For more than 20 years, thousands of students have benefitted from training at Master Khechen’s schools. Enjoying greater health and happiness because of his passion and dedication.
